This department is responsible for the issuance of all
Zoning permits and code enforcement issues for the
Town of Alexandria.

We will be happy to discuss your future projects and
concerns. Below you will find the basic requirements
for the review and issuance of zoning permits.

Zoning Permits are required for any new construction,
to include: Any  addition to the house (e.g. deck,
porch, garage, fences, pool, etc.
Any storage shed (no matter the size)
Any demolition of buildings
Any fireplace, pellet stove, wood stove, etc.
Any signs (signage)

Local Law No.1 of the year 2010
A Local Law to Amend and Restate the Town of  
Alexandria Zoning Ordinance

Be enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Alexandria
as follows:

Section 1. The Town of Alexandria Zoning ordinance as
previously amended is hereby amended and restated in
its entirety to read as follows:

Zoning Ordinance has 5 parts: 15 pages in each part.
