News & Events
Baseball and softball registration is now open.
Registration forms are available by clicking the button below or they can be picked up at the town office. Completed forms can be turned in at the town office.
Some of our current sponsors are: Gouverneur Savings and Loan, JK's Road House, Wellesley Island Building Supply, Redwood Fire Department, Crossroads Grocery, Uncle Sam Boat Tours, and Gerald Umstead Construction.
As always we thank you and we are very appreciative of all of our sponsors. Without you, there would be things our children/players would not have. If you are interested in sponsoring please contact Marilyn Cannestra at 315-482-3143.
How do I sign up?
Print out the forms by clicking on the button for your sport of choice and drop off at the Town offices. Or you can contact Courtney Thomas at 315-405-3471.
What age do I have to be to play?
Age to play depends on the sport and the times of the year. Ages range from 4-13 in most cases.
How can I help?
You can contact Courtney Thomas at 315-405-3471. If you are interested in Coaching you must fill out a Volunteer application.
What if there is nothing I or my children are interested in?
Please make a comment to the right. This will then be brought to the Youth Advisory Board and the Town Board so that'll that we can possibly implement your idea.
How can my organization be a sponsor?
Your organization can be a sponsor. All Businesses are welcomed, whether you want to be solely a team sponsor in which your Company/Business name goes on the uniforms or you sponsor a sport where your name does not go on a uniform and you help purchase sporting equipment. Any donation is welcomed, but for a team sponsorship it would normally cost between $500 - $800 based on uniform costs and embroidery. If you would like to sponsor or would just like some information please contact Marilyn Cannestra at 315-482-3143.
What if I'm not part of an organization. Can I still be a sponsor?
Absolutely! Anyone can be a sponsor! Please contact Marilyn Cannestra at 315-482-3143.
What if there are not enough players for my son/daughter to play for Alexandria?
Good question. What we would do if we did not have enough players, is that we would find ways for your child to play. Either allowing late sign ups, to enable us to possibly create a team. But if that does not work and we really do not have the numbers, we would reach out to the other local youth commissions, for example; LaFargeville, Clayton and Hammond. We would see what their needs are if they can use extra players, maybe their numbers are low as well. This is similar to what has been done with Football and Hockey in the past. This unfortunately we will and can not guarantee your son/daughter to be on the same team as their friend. For example if we have 5 players needing a team and say Clayton needs 2 players. They take 2 out of our 5, and the other 3 will go to another team. But at least it will afford them the opportunity to play.
